Today we do not have a specific subject for our blog. There are a number of things we want to mention anyway.
We start of with the good news. As already mentioned we got the last room in the show hotel in Rangsdorf and are going with two cats. Baba and Red Ice have the honor to enter. So one poly and one non-poly.
There is a bit of not so good news to. The lady we saw some time ago and were considering as an addition to our cattery is not coming to live with us. There were some very good reasons for that, but we will not put them publicly on the internet.
Furthermore, we already mentioned that Charlotte is not pregnant. That did not stop her from adopting some “kittens”. She has now two kittens. One is our Kitty and the other one is Kaneeltje. As you can see on the picture she is very dedicated.

The last subject is our Savanna. She is still running around, despite of her condition. And she also is a bit spoiled ;-). She lookes really good though, even with her lazy relaxed ears ;-).
Although we can not see anything yet, Charlotte is behaving completely different. She is sleeping where she never slept before. She is eating canned food and normally she used to be in a completely different room then the canned food. So the signs are there 😉
So everyone get your calendar out and mark November 20th, because that is her due date.
If you check back on a regular basis, we keep you informed about our Charlotte
Yesterday was Anneke’s birthday. She got presents from the dogs, the cats and me of course. Charlotte decided that she wanted to give an extra birthday gift. After all the time we were waiting she decided to get into heat. We decided to bring her upstairs to meet Aswad, the father to be. Unfortunately nothing happened because Aswad thought she was to big. (Charlotte is almost 9 kilo) and therefore we brought her down again.
Then it happened again, Charlotte was walking around calling for a male and Red Ice decided that it was his turn. He is a bit young (9 months) but both he and Charlotte did not really mind 😉
In the meantime he did his trick a couple of times and he is not finished yet 😉
For us the waiting starts now. In 4 weeks we can see if Red Ice did his job well 😉
It has been a while since our last post and times are exciting as the title already says.
To start of with , we have a lot of birds in our front yard and our little Savanna loves to look at them. She sits in the window a big part of the day and hey, when you get tired there is of course no reason to go sit somewhere else as you can see on this picture.

Secondly, we finally got the message from our scratch pole supplier that the new schratch poles are on the way. We ordered 3 new ones on the show in Salzburg. As soon as the get in they get a couple of extra layers of “bullet proof” paint. You know cats can destroy almost everything if they want ;-), so it’s better to be prepared. We already told the cats that the new poles are in the mail and they are sooooo excited. Unfortunately it takes a week for the paint to dry so the cats need to be patient ;-). For the time being the will have to do with the “old” ones.

But last and certainly not least Charlotte and Baba have been naughty a couple of days ago. So with a bit of luck Charlotte might be pregnant.
